Polestar’s International Services Division has served the international market since the company's inception in 1992. For over ten years, Polestar has evaluated the economic performance and operating events for U. S. Nuclear Plants and performed technical studies for international electric utility clients. This allows clients to more effectively monitor and benefit from the large body of experience accumulated by U. S. Nuclear Plants, and to use that experience to assist in the management of the international fleet of similar plants.

Polestar has recently formed a wholly-owned subsidiary, Polestar GB, Limited, in the United Kingdom to provide locally based services in the UK.  The linked page provides further information on services in the UK.

The Polestar team has performed a number of technical and performance studies for Electricité de France (EDF) the French national electric utility. Our experts have provided computer codes for safety analysis to Korea Power Engineering Company (KOPEC) and consulted on safety analysis for Korea Electric Power Company’s (KEPCO) nuclear plants. Our team has also consulted on safety matters with the Korea Institute of Nuclear Safety (KINS), the Republic of Korea government national safety review organization.

Polestar professional staff have also previously provided nuclear safety and engineering design consulting services to the former Central Electricity Generating Board, now British Energy, in the United Kingdom; Ente Nazionale per l'Energia Elettrica, the Italian electric utility company; Taiwan Power Company; Japan Atomic Power Company; and, Kansai Electric Company of Osaka, Japan.

Based on this wealth of experience with international companies and governments, Polestar is well positioned to service our overseas clients in all of our Government Services and Commercial Services areas.
